The Firmdesk pilot program: free through the 2027 tax season

Software for accounting firms is easy to demo and hard to live with. The real test is a Tuesday in April, with forty T1s waiting on slips and a corporate client asking where its T2 stands. So before we open Firmdesk to everyone, we want a few firms to run on it through a whole tax season, and tell us what gets in their way.

What Firmdesk does today

• Works out each client’s CRA deadlines from the services you do for them: T2, T1, T3, GST/HST, QST, payroll remittances, slips and more, with the CRA’s holidays taken into account.
• Keeps the work behind each deadline as tasks, from a checklist you set once per service.
• Sends request lists to your clients’ portal, which they complete item by item on their phone, and reminds them until the list is complete if you turn reminders on.
• Tracks time, with timesheet approval, and turns unbilled time into invoices with GST/HST or QST.
• Runs on servers in Québec, with two-step sign-in and an activity log. Encrypted backups may be stored outside Canada: where your data is.

What pilot firms get

• Firmdesk free, with every feature, until May 31, 2027.
• Your client list moved in for you: send us the spreadsheet and we import it.
• Set up within a week of saying yes: your clients in, their services set up, five of them invited to the portal and your first request list sent.
• Then, if you stay, the founding price: 30% off your plan for as long as you keep it.

• Use Firmdesk for your real client work through T1 season.
• A 20-minute call each week for eight weeks.
• Tell us what gets in your way, as it happens, with Send feedback in the app.
• If you’re happy with it: a short testimonial, and permission to show your logo on our site.

Who we’re looking for

Three to five firms in Canada, from one person to about ten: bookkeepers, tax preparers and accounting firms, some busy with T1s and some with mostly corporate clients.
