Time and invoices, without a second system
Log time as you work, approve the week, and turn unbilled time into an invoice with the right sales tax. Your clients find their invoices in their portal.
30 days free, every feature, no card needed.
Timers and a weekly timesheet
Start a timer from a task, a client or any page; a bar at the top shows it running. Or type your week into the timesheet: 1.5, 1:30 and 90m all work.
- Time on a client is billable unless you say otherwise; internal time never is.
- Each person has a billing rate, and each entry keeps the rate it was logged at.
- Copy last week's rows, and pick up where you left off with one click.

Approve the week, report on the month
Timesheet approval
People submit their week. A manager approves it, or returns it with a note saying what to fix. An approved week is locked.
Time report
Hours by client, person or entry for any period, billable or not, with what it's worth. Download it as a spreadsheet.
Money stays with managers
Billing, what time is worth and everyone's timesheets are for partners, managers, owners and admins. Everyone else keeps their own timesheet, and sees the hours on each client's page, not what they're worth.
From unbilled time to an invoice
Unbilled lists each client's time nobody has billed yet. Invoice drafts it in one step: a line per service, per entry, or one line for all of it. Or type in a fixed fee.
- Sales tax from the client's province: HST, GST, or GST and QST in Québec.
- Your GST/HST and QST numbers, logo, address, payment terms and notes on every invoice.
- A spouse's or dependant's time goes on the household's invoice.
- Record payments as they come in; what's overdue shows by itself.
Firmdesk doesn't email invoices or take card payments: print or save the PDF to send it, and your clients see their invoices in the portal.

Where the money stands
The billing overview shows fees billed and payments received month by month, what clients owe now and your unbilled time, then the same by client type, by service and by client.
